Once you adopt a greyhound, you can’t imagine adopting any other breed. We love our Maggie who we adopted from Jacksonville in 2013. Like you said, we can not imagine life without her. Last year my daughter adopted two male galgos (Spanish greyhound) from Spain. A year ago I adopted a galga (female Spanish greyhound). They make a great pack, with Maggie as the prima donna and alpha to her Spanish cousins. As greyhound tracks close in Florida, there are thousands of galgos to rescue in Spain.

I have two german shepherds , two swiss shepherds and 2 belgian shepherds (all 6 are the long haired types). I fully understand the bedtime thing! I usually let them sleep outside cause they have aloooot of hair and they get super warm in the house at times and its harmful but anytime they can , they will snuggle up in my bed and its just one huge fur bed😂 I wouldn't trade those mornings for anything in the world either I wake up and theres 6 dogs all with so much excitement and love. Its amazing. For anyone wondering , I have a huge bed and im pretty small (158cm height girl) sooo we all fit and were fine😂😂😂
